The Yanomami.
The Yanomami is an Indian that lives in the Amazon. For them, the forest is their and the water their father. Nature is their home and they are part of it.
The Amazon gives then everything they need. With their bows and they hunt animals for food. They sleep in hammocks made of bark. They make canoes from tree trunks to go in the river. They know how to use the various plants to cure diseases. They are healthy and happy.
They live free in the forest but for how much longer? People from around the Amazon are down the trees because they need the or more land for their animals and crops. Engineers are building a highway across the Amazon and are a pig part of the forest.
Very soon there will be no more trees. The rain will wash away the soil and nothing will ever grow there again. The plants will disappear, the animals will away, the Yanomamis will not have a home anymore.
The Amazon is dying and the world is in danger - everywhere the climate is . We all need to help save the Amazon. Isn’t it time to do something about it?
